Greetings from Sparrow Cloud!
Sparrow Cloud is excited to announce that Sparrow Cloud is undergoing a major transformation to provide a more stable and convenient service experience for our users. On May 20, 2024, Sparrow Cloud will be launching new services and implementing several changes.
The following changes will be made on the day of the renewal, so please review it carefully.
If you have any questions, please contact Sparrow’s customer service center.
1. New Service Launch: Open Source Management (SCA)
This new service diagnoses security vulnerabilities in open source software in source code and binaries and helps you identify licenses. It also provides software supply chain management features by creating and managing SBOMs (Software Bill of Materials).
2. License Policy Changes
With the launch of the new service, the license policies and fees have been revised.
To ensure a smooth transition, Sparrow Cloud recommends that all customers review the new license policy guide carefully. This will help prevent any confusion when using our services.
If you have any questions about these changes, please don’t hesitate to contact our customer service center. We’re happy to help!
3. UI/UX Improvements
The goal of this UI/UX improvement is to provide a better user experience by changing the user authentication method, analysis function, and more.
- Addition of User Authentication
o Sparrow Cloud added GitHub authentication so that users can use Sparrow Cloud with existing GitHub accounts without having to sign up for a new membership.
- Improved Analysis Method
o You can import and analyze the list of repositories from GitHub, and you can analyze the GitHub repositories specified for the project when performing Code(SAST) & Supply Chain(SCA).
- Improved Analysis Result
o Simplified how users can access the issue list.
o The latest analysis results for each analysis type (Code(SAST), Supply Chain(SCA), Web App(DAST)) are now displayed together.
o The analysis results are now displayed in an asset-centric view.
4. Changes to the Payment System and Policy
The card payment system has been switched from KCP to KSNET, and the billing system has been reorganized as an automatic renewal system. This eliminates the inconvenience of having to make a new payment every time, and users can use the service continuously with a single payment that is automatically renewed every month.
In addition, customers can cancel the automatic payment at any time, and the service will be discontinued at the time the automatic payment is canceled.
5. Data Migration
As of May 20, 2024, all data from the existing service will be migrated to the new service. The existing service will be maintained until August 20, 2024. If you need to access the existing service during this period, please contact the Sparrow customer service center.
6. Compensation for Existing Licenses
For Static Analysis (SAST), the compensation system has been established for existing active paid license customers by reorganizing the price at a reduced rate compared to the existing license price. Please review the compensation system below to ensure that you can use the service without any inconvenience.
If you have any questions, please contact our customer service center at any time.
Thank you.
